For several years now Carla has joined us to share her faith as she serves in the Senate. Fun, witty and a delightful personality describes her well. This is a light-hearted morning filled with joy, encouragement and community.

As a wife, grandmother and one lovely lady, we always enjoy Carla's delightful friendly personality. She's a great public speaker.

Carla has served in the Minnesota Senate since 2011 and was previously a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2005.
In the Senate, as a woman of Faith in Jesus Christ, she has focused on issues including taxes, education, transportation, economic development, and health care. She has chaired major committees such as the Senate Taxes Committee and Education Finance and Policy Committee. As of 2026, her committee assignments include Capital Investment, Jobs and Economic Development, Taxes, and Transportation.

This is our 11th year to be hosting the National Day of Prayer Breakfast

According to I Timothy 2:1 We are encouraged to pray for all people, 1st those in government so that we can lead Godly and Peaceful lives. Therefore we kick off the NDP with our prayer breakfast with Mayor Norton reading the Proclamation for the National Day of Prayer.

This is our 9th year celebrating the NDP prayer breakfast.

Every year several churches, local ministries and people like you and me gather to honor God in fellowship and prayer. MN Adult and Teen Challenge Men choir will join us this year.

We have just gone through a grueling election season. All are weary from the battle and now we must move on with the new leaders in office.

I Timothy 2: 1-2 Calls on us to pray and intercede for those in leadership and governmental positions so we can lead Godly lives in peace. This brings pleasure to our Heavenly Father.

And that is what this weeks focus will be all about.
